The 7th Annual Draft Day 5k will take place on the historic island of Put-in-Bay, Ohio.
Whether you like to run or walk, make plans to enter one of the races and celebrate the Cleveland Browns with us!
Every participant will receive an Official Draft Day 5k Jersey, custom race bib, goody bag, drink discounts, FREE lunch, awards ceremony and more! This event will benefit the Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers charities.

Parking is available behind Town Hall and on streets around DeRivera Park.
SOCIAL DISTANCING PRACTICES
Social distancing practices will be in effect throughout the entire event including:
-Masks will be required for all participants except for on the run and when you are sitting at a table for lunch
-Masks will be worn by all race staff and volunteers
-There will be hand sanitizing stations at packet pickup and the start/finish line
-Packet pickup will be contact-less
-Adjusted award ceremony procedure
-The run will begin as a group start however participants can elect to start individually and in small group (family/spouse/etc..) waves every 10+ seconds
-Marks on the ground for social distancing will be enforced during packet pick and starting the race
-Anyone who has COVID-19 will not be able to attend nor participate in the event. Additionally anyone who has come into contact with anyone who has or had COVID-19 within the past 21 days will not be able to attend nor participate. This includes participants, race staff and volunteers.
AWARDS CEREMONY & AGE GROUPS
We will be awarding the top 3 overall male and female runners a commemorative plaque and the 1st and 2nd place male and female winners in each age group a medal with neck ribbon. We will announce the winners one by one for each age group as we always do during lunch however the awards ceremony will be contactless. The medals will be laid out on a table for each winner to claim and once a medal is claimed and the winner returns to their seat the next winner will be announced.

Lunch is free and provided by Mr. Ed's after the race however if you are in the mood for TACO'S and would like to support the local EMS station they will be having a taco lunch fundraiser 1 block away from the start/finish line!

Your support of this race is greatly appreciated as proceeds from the race will go directly to the Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers for their 2021 - 2022 charities. This past year the LEIBB donated money to local, regional and national foundations and charities including the: Lake Erie Island Nature Camp, St. Paul's Episcopal Church Food Pantry, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Discretionary Fund, Ottawa County "Kids for Christmas" which will put food on the table and a present under the tree for local area families in need, Put-in-Bay Arts Council, Cleveland Browns Foundation, and five Put-in-Bay High School scholarships. The scholarships included the Gustav Heineman Scholarship, Ricky Dysert Scholarship, Jer-Bear Scholarship, Jeff Verhoff Scholarship, and 2 $1500 scholarship from the Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers. The LEIBB are a non-profit organization established in 2001.

Virtual Race Information:
A Virtual 5K (or any other virtual race) is a race that you choose to complete where ever and whenever you would like by May 2. You can walk, run, or use a treadmill. The beauty of a virtual race is that you can run the race at your convenience (anytime/anywhere).
* It is not required to report your time. You will not be eligible for any awards and your time will not be listed with the other participants. Please see below for information on the IYR Virtual app to track your distance, time, and reporting results.

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE?
A Virtual Race is a race that you run at any time and any place that fits into your schedule. The race can be be completed indoors or outdoors, in a park, on a track or trail, around your neighborhood or around your yard, even on your treadmill. Simply decide upon the distance of race you will participating in, use a device or app to keep track of your distance and time, then enter your finish time and any pictures you may have of yourself, friends and family either running or at your homemade finish line! The results will be posted here on Its Your Race. (See below)HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY RACE SWAG?
You can pickup in person or choose to have it mailed to you.
WHEN CAN I RUN MY RACE AND POST MY RESULTS?
You may register and run your race any time thru midnight on race day (see instructions below for submitting your results).
HOW DO I TRACK MY RUNNING DISTANCE AND REPORT MY FINISH TIME?
Upload the new IYR Virtual
app in the Apple App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android phone)
The IYR Virtual app will track your race distance, keep your time and report your finish time when race is over
See the instructions below (this will not track your distance on a treadmill)
You are able to use any running/training app to calculate your distance, such as Map My Run, Runkeeper, Strava and then manually enter your finish times into the Its Your Race Results (instructions below)
How to Report Your Time Manually
(if you used any other app, other than IYR Virtual)
After you complete your race, Log in to your Its Your Race Account
Click on Results
Click on Your Race
Find Your Name
Click on Update Times to enter your finish time.
That is it!
Be sure to practice social distancing while you run or walk.
